The cave is located near the village of Melnitsca, Elhovo. The length of the cave is 161 m. and the total displacement – 16 m. There are two falls and you only have to enter in groups from a professional team.
The cave is one of the few natural habitats in which protected species of bats form colonies.
From the middle of may to end of august, they raise their young, and from november to march – hibernate. There are Mediterranean Horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus еuryale), Mehely’s horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus mehelyi), Greater horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus ferrumequinum) and Lesser horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus hipposideros).
