Further information
A branched cave, going down in steps. Many boulders, dripping water.
Known to the local people. Partly explored on June 18, 1960 by cavers from Yambol, led by P. Karabadjakov. Surveyed in detail by them in the 70s, and later by cavers from Plovdid, led by Iv. Petrov and I. Savchev in 1986.
The legend tells that once a pig fell into the cave and after some time the same pig was found in something resembling a spring, 500 m near the cave entrance, down the river. This water spring was then called “Domuz bunar” (from “domuz” – pig, and “bunar” – well in Turkish).
