A cave offering conditions for formation of bat colonies of protected species.
The cave is one of the few natural habitats in which protected bat species form colonies. From may to august, they raise their young, and the rest of the time they use it to rest or look for partners. They are Mediterranean horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus euryale), Lesser mouse-eared bat (Myotis blythii), Eptesicus serotinus (Eptesicus serotinus),Savi’s pipistrelle (Hypsugo savii), Greater horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus ferrumequinum), Grey long-eared bat (Plecotus austriacus) and Natterer’s bat (Myotis nattereri).
