The Mirror Cave in Ribino Protected Site, is located in the territory of the village of Ribino. The local population calls the cave “Ayna ini”, which translates from Turkish to the “Mirror cave”.
It is the only site in the Eastern Rhodopes where large colonies of horseshoe bats spend the winter. When visiting the cave 1200 Mediterranean horseshoe bats are listed, 100 Common bent-wing bat (Miniopterus schreibersii) and 4 Lesser mouse-eared bat (Myotis myotis/blythii).
