Interactive map of the watering places from the competition

After the first competition “Watering place with history” and all the euphoria surrounding the event, we decided to share our inspiration with you and show the works of the participants. For this, we made a map on which the stories about the watering places, through which students from different parts of the country participated in the competition, were noted. Through these stories, we were able to learn about many interesting places, as well as stories, beliefs related to the watering places and Bulgarian history and culture. We share the map with you and the art created by these children. We are happy for the interest shown and the desire of young people to learn and share the history of their birthplaces. From these map you can see real watering places from all over Bulgaria and visit them in person. These unique monuments keep stories of love, a loved one, important people and good deeds. In the past, people performed their rites around them, and today they provide an opportunity for coolness during the hot summer and relaxation after a long trek. In addition to people, these fountains also provide drinking water for domestic and wild animals. They often become home to amphibians, and the insects around them are food for a number of bats and other animals. They are a wonderful example of the harmony between man and nature and how a fountain can improve the lives of people and animals.

Again, we want to thank the participants and hope this map helps more people discover new beautiful places and learn interesting stories.
